SUMMARY:Storytime with Mrs Claus & Santa
DESCRIPTION:After a very popular and successful event last year\, we are pleased to announce the return of our special Christmas event ‘Storytime with Mrs Claus and Santa!’ \nOur event begins with 20 minutes of help yourself activities (Including decorate a cupcake or biscuit\, Christmas decoration craft and make your own reindeer food)\, followed by storytime with Mrs Claus and a special visit from Santa\, who will be handing out individual gifts to children – make sure you have your phones at the ready to take your own photos! \nTickets are required for children only\, adults do not require a ticket. Adult supervision is required at all times\, with a maximum of 2 adults per child. \nAGES & BABES IN ARMS  \nThere is something for everyone to enjoy\, with a mixture of activities to suit different ages. Our stories will be adapted to suit the appropriate age group within each time slot. \nBabes in arms are free of charge with attending families only and will not require a ticket. If however\, you would like your child to have a gift and a personalised nice certificate\, a paid ticket will be required. \nTickets are required for children only\, adults do not require a ticket. \nThis is a different and separate event to our weekly Ducklings pre-school group\, where we will have our separate Christmas event for Ducklings users. For more information about our sessions that run at the library\, please follow our Facebook group: Ducklings at Cosby Community Library. \nREFUNDS \nAll tickets are non-refundable. If however you can’t make the event and wish to personally pass on your ticket(s) to someone else\, the library will need to be notified of any changes within 48 hours of the event\, so that each child can be catered for. In the event of any changes to any bookings\, please contact LAURA on 07749 328 333 as soon as possible. \nARRIVAL INFORMATION \nDoors will open 5 minutes before your allocated time slot. You will be asked to enter via the main entrance\, pop your belongings inside the library and exit via the staff fire exit door. SUMMARY:Children's Easter Book Trail
DESCRIPTION:Can you name the books and find the Easter icons on posters located on lampposts around the centre of Cosby?\nCome and join us for our 4th Easter Trail! The trail will run continuously from Saturday 12th April – Saturday 26th April 2025. Maps can be purchased directly from the library during opening times\, or you can purchase them online at the bottom of this page. Simply buy your tickets (or in this case your ticket is a map!)\, download the trail map and print it at home. Please select and purchase the correct amount of maps you would like – 1 ticket/map = £2 and is exchanged for 1 sweet treat and 1 entry into the prize draw. \nLibrary opening times do vary\, so why not buy you map in advance\, so you have got it ready to complete for whenever you might want to use it! Easter trail maps are available to buy direct from the library or online below\, from Saturday 5th April 2025. \nTop tips… \n\nDon’t forget to take a pencil or something to write with you!\n You may find it easier to take a clipboard or something to lean on!\nNot sure what some of the books are? All books used in the trail will be on display at the library!\nYou don’t have to complete your map all at once\, you might decide to do it over a few days by taking a different route to the shops or to the park.\n\nTo keep up to date with our event and to see more recent updates\, please follow our Facebook event link by clicking here. \nReturning your completed maps \nHand your completed map back into the library during opening times\, in exchange for a sweet treat! (Fun size treat options include: Cadbury Dairy Milk Little Bar\, Nestle Milkybar\, Smarties\, Love Hearts\, Original Fruit Skittles or Darkside Skittles.) All returned maps will be entered into a prize draw\, where three winners will be picked! This years prizes are: \n\nx1 £10 The Works gift card & Kinder chocolate bunny\nx2 £5 The Works gift card & Kinder chocolate bunny\n\nWhilst the trail will finish on Saturday 26th April\, to give you an extra chance of handing your maps back in to the library\, the last date for returning maps is Monday 28th April\, ready for the draw to take place on Tuesday 29th April. Maps can also be dropped in our letterbox/dropbox at the front of the building.
